Miami — Bauducco has appointed Jean-Pierre Comte CEO, North America, effective immediately. He will lead the company’s U.S. and Canadian operations as it works to expand its presence across the region.
Comte brings more than 30 years of experience in the consumer goods industry. Most recently, he served as president of Rana Meal Solutions, overseeing operations in the U.S. and Canada. He previously spent nearly a decade with Barilla, where he led the company’s Americas region across multiple countries and brands, and also held roles at Procter & Gamble.
“I am honored to lead Bauducco at such an exciting moment in the company’s history,” says Comte. “Joining the Bauducco family is a unique and exciting opportunity to build on a brand with 75 years of global heritage and authentic quality, and I look forward to expanding Bauducco’s presence across North America.”
Concurrent with Comte’s appointment, Stefano Mozzi has been named CEO of Pandatura Group, which encompasses the Bauducco, Casa Bauducco, Ellece Logística, Visconti, and Tommy brands. Mozzi previously led Bauducco’s International Business Unit and has been with the company for 16 years. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s next phase of growth and international expansion.
“Jean-Pierre is exactly the leader Bauducco needs at this critical juncture in our North American journey,” says Mozzi. “His track record demonstrates consistent excellence in brand building, portfolio innovation, customer relationships, and team development — skills that are fundamental to accelerating Bauducco’s expansion in an increasingly competitive U.S. market.”
The leadership changes follow the opening of Bauducco’s largest U.S. manufacturing facility in Zephyrhills, FL. The 160,000-square-foot production center is expected to employ more than 600 people at full production and expands the company’s domestic manufacturing capacity. The facility will also enable Bauducco to produce new items in the U.S. for the first time, including panettone.
Comte is a graduate of NEOMA Business School in France and holds a master’s degree in political science from Institut d’Études Politiques in Grenoble.
