Haribo Releases New Flavors, Limited Edition Shapes For 100th Birthday Of Goldbears

Rosemont, IL — To celebrate the 100th birthday of its Goldbears gummies, Haribo of America, Inc. is launching limited edition products and a sweepstakes getaway to a “sweet” summer hotspot.

Haribo, which invented the now iconic gummi bear in 1922 in Bonn, Germany, notes it will be revealing new items throughout the year as part of the celebration and is starting with the debut of limited edition bags featuring a mix of Goldbears and blue raspberry-flavor party hat-shaped gummies, as well as single-flavor bags of blue raspberry and pineapple gummies.

“Haribo is the original creator of the gummi bear, and we’re so excited to celebrate the 100th birthday of our iconic Goldbears in unique and meaningful ways here in the U.S., ” says Rick LaBerge, chief operating officer, Haribo of America. “We’ll be marking this momentous occasion throughout 2022, and we want consumers to join in on the fun with us all year long.”

In addition, the company is running a year-long summer-themed sweepstakes that will culminated in four consumers winning week-long vacations to Myrtle Beach, SC, and a year’s supply of Goldbears. The sweepstakes will also include hundreds of runner-up prizes, passes to the Carolina Country Music Festival, Haribo swag and other summer-themed prizes.
