Reno, NV — Kimmie Candy Co. has teamed with a group of restaurants, nonprofits and businesses in Northern Nevada to support hospital workers and first responders in Northern Nevada during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kimmie Candy donated Chocorocks as part of the dessert portion of the menus served at Northern Nevada Medical Center and the Veteran’s Hospital of Sierra Nevada. The company also donated salted caramel Chocorocks to a special free meal for all first responders held at Mari Chuy’s Mexican Kitchen.
The candymaker reports it will continue to provide its products free of charge to nurses, police officers, paramedics, firefighter and “all workers risking their lives to help keep us safe.”
The donations were coordinated through Feed Our Heroes, an organization established in response to the pandemic that aims to feed front-line workers and help restaurants stay in business, the candymaker reports.
