Chicago — Mars, Inc. appoints Kemal Cetin as global chief digital and information officer for its snacking business, effective August 3. Cetin reports directly to Andrew Clarke, global president of Mars Snacking, and sits on both the Mars Snacking Leadership Team and the Mars Digital Technologies Leadership Team. In this role, Cetin leads the company’s digital, data, and technology agenda to accelerate business growth, advance customer and associate experiences, and unlock innovation opportunities across the segment.

The leadership appointment arrives at a strategic transition point for the global snacking giant as it scales its operations, the company says.

“His experience leading digital transformation and helping organizations grow makes him the right leader at an important moment for our business,” says Clarke. “As we continue bringing together the newly acquired Kellanova brands, Kemal will play a key role in helping us move faster, make better decisions, and build for the future.”

Cetin brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to the role, joining Mars from FrieslandCampina, where he serves as global business and digital solutions officer and an executive team member. His background features extensive international technology and fast-moving consumer goods experience across the U.S., UK, and Europe, including previous leadership roles at Diageo, Coca-Cola Enterprises, and Whirlpool.

Cetin’s mandate focuses heavily on utilizing emerging technologies to improve supply chain agility and consumer engagement across the consolidated Mars and Kellanova portfolios. “Together, we will advance the use of digital technologies, data, analytics and AI capabilities to drive sustainable growth and create lasting value for our consumers, customers, and associates,” Cetin says.
