Services Set For MC Publisher Michael Allured

Michael Allured

Neshkoro, WI — Michael Allured, third-generation publisher of MC Publishing Co., passed away on October 24 at 68 years old.

Prior to joining his family’s business, Allured worked building wooden boats at Nimphius Boats. He had served on the town board, later becoming town chairman, of Crystal Lake Township, WI, and was treasurer for many years at St. John Lutheran Church. Active in the confectionery industry, he was treasurer of the American Association for Candy Technologists, served on committees for the Professional Manufacturing Confectioners Association and the Retail Confectioners International, and supported many other organizations.

Allured enjoyed woodworking and gardening, as well as playing tennis, skiing, playing frisbee, canoeing, kayaking and hiking.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, daughter Amy and son Ethan, along with a granddaughter and his mother Coralene.

A memorial service, preceded by visitation, will be held at Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 am on Friday, November 5, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions to the Allured Fund for Confectionery Education.
