Hackettstown, NJ — Mars Chocolate North America is giving consumers the opportunity to make the music for an upcoming M&M’s TV commercial by visiting bitesizebeats.com, the company reports.

Visitors to the site can record their own beats using a graphic interface featuring M&M’s mascots. Each character provides one of four elements to the track, ranging from beats and effects to melodies and voices.

Consumers can save their music on the site for the chance to have their creation featured in a commercial or on the brand’s social media pages, according to Mars. In addition, the company encourages music makers to share their work on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #bitesizebeat.

“We wanted to get fans more involved with the M&M’s brand by giving them a voice in our iconic TV commercials,” says Tanya Berman, brand director. “This program, which relies on user-generated content, is just another example of how we are continuing to find new and innovative ways to connect with M&M’s fans around music.”
