Washington — Helping keep the Sweets & Snacks community connected from anywhere at any time, NCA launched the Sweets & Snacks On Demand digital platform, according to the Association.
Sweets & Snacks On Demand is a four-part experience geared to allow retailers, buyers and manufacturers “celebrate innovation, learn through education programs, and share and discover the industry’s latest products.” Features include:
- Manufacturer Search: A searchable database of manufacturers and brands that includes company news and contact details.
- Innovation Center: A dedicated digital showcase of new products and items that have yet to hit the market.
- Product Spotlight: Candy & Snack TODAY’s unrivaled product coverage is highlighted with a special portal on CandyUSA.com that will be updated weekly though the fall.
- Sweet Insights: Unwrapped: Sponsored by Barry Callebaut AG, this digital education series provides the latest in consumer, category and retail insights.
“The role of the Sweets & Snacks Expo as an industry convener to create excitement and engagement for our category is as important as ever — even though we couldn’t be together this year, it’s crucial that we stay connected,” says John Downs, NCA president and CEO. “We’ve created a dynamic platform where the community can interact with each other, gain a deeper understanding of the topics that are important to their businesses, and where retailers can discover innovative new candy and snack products as they look to spark growth in the category.”
NCA reports it will launch more features during the coming months on the platform, which will updated until November 30. In addition to the online components, industry members can sign-up for the bi-weekly Sweets & Snacks On Demand newsletter for more category insights, news and products to keep you up-to-date on the confectionery and snack categories.
