Reading, PA — Slap Stix caramel, and Banana Splits, Strawberry Shortcake and Mint Julip taffy brands’ assets have been acquired by Stichler Products, Inc.
The candymaker has been working to acquire the former NECCO brands and necessary machinery for 18 months. Additionally, the company purchased new packaging equipment and reports updated packs that enhance the retail experience are in the works.
To accommodate the new brands, a special production area is being constructed and will feature new roofing and floors among other modernization projects, according to Stichler.
