Salt Lake City — On Demand Packaging-system supplier Packsize International LLC is expanding its operations as it has decided to build its global headquarters in Utah with an expected $9.2 million capital investment, the company reports.
“Utah’s bright entrepreneurial community and labor market make it attractive for Packsize to compete globally from here,” says CEO Hanko Kiessner. “We affirm our commitment to serving as a proud member of Utah’s growing community of companies that are participating in building the industrial Internet of Things as part of the fourth industrial revolution, with a focus on sustainability and the circular economy.”
The project is anticipated to create as many as 354 jobs in the next seven years, Packsize reports.
The company’s On Demand Packaging systems can save an average of 20 to 30 percent in corrugated packaging costs, according to the company. The just-in-time equipment includes custom box-making hardware and software as well as other services aimed at reducing corrugated inventory requirements, increase handling and transportation efficiencies and minimize waste.
