Nubu brand Nut Butter Bites are new from Mount Franklin Foods, LLC. The “poppable sweet and crunchy snack bites” are made with six to seven simple ingredients and are preservative-, dairy- and gluten-free, as well as kosher and vegan, according to the company.
Recent surveys findings show 70 percent of consumers’ preferred snacks are nuts, seeds or trail mix, and the popularity of nut spreads is rising with 60 percent of shoppers indulging in nut or seed butters one or more times per week, Mount Franklin reports.
“People love to snack. In fact, 50 percent snack once or twice daily. Many turn to nuts because they are healthy, crunchy and easy to take along. Nut butters are equally delicious and satisfying,” says Dawn Sykora, vice-president of marketing for Mount Franklin. “Nubu combines the best of both snacks by using nuts and nut butter in a mess free, bite-size treat that can be enjoyed anywhere.”
Available in cashew, peanut and pecan varieties, the product packs in 5.5- to six-ounce reclosable standup packs, depending on the variety. With a SRP range of $3.59 to $3.99, they ship in six-ct cases and 36-ct freestanding displays.
