Zombie Skittles Feature ‘Repulsive’ Mystery Flavor

Hackettstown, NJ — Launching for Halloween 2019, Zombie Skittles feature a “rotten zombie” taste, which is disguised to look like one of five fruity flavors in the seasonal packs, according to Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S., LLC.

Other flavors in the Halloween product are Petrifying Citrus Punch, Mummified Melon, Boogeyman Blackberry, Chilling Black Cherry and Blood Red Berry, according to the candymaker.

“Our fans love Skittles not just for its delicious fruity flavors, but for the irreverence and sense of humor for which the brand is known,” says Rebecca Duke, senior brand manager, Mars Wrigley U.S. “This Halloween, we wanted to give our fans the ultimate rotten twist on the candy they know and love, challenging them to test their bravery over a bag of Zombie Skittles.”

As part of the launch, Mars Wrigley is encouraging consumers to get together and film the group trying, and eventually discovering the rotten zombie Skittles, and posting the results on Instagram with the hashtag #DareTheRainbow and on the brand’s page.

Zombie Skittles are available in share size packs, laydown bags and fun size bags with SRPs of $1.89, $2.49 and $2.99, respectively.
