Charlotte, NC — Schubert North America will showcase packaging automation technologies, including its Lightline Case Packer and TLM packaging systems, during Pack Expo, October 18 to 21 in Chicago.
The company will demonstrate its Lightline Case Packer, an end-of-line system that automates the packing of cartons into wrap-around cases. The modular system is capable of producing up to 60 cartons and 15 wrap-around cases per minute and accommodates both vertical and horizontal product orientations, according to the company.
Schubert adds that automatic format changeovers can be completed without specialized parts or manual adjustments. Optional upgrades include packages for orientation-independent product handling, recipe-based format changes, enhanced operator and maintenance safety, and automated product and packaging quality control.
The company will also showcase its TLM cartoner for blow-fill-seal products. Operating at up to 120 products per minute, the top-loading system erects folding cartons, groups and loads BFS cards, inserts package leaflets, closes and laser-marks the cartons, and transfers them to the outfeed.
The TLM Generation 7 packaging platform, which was introduced earlier this year, will also be on display The system can handle up to 800 products and more than 260 flowpacks per minute in a 32-square-meter footprint, according to Schubert.
TLM Generation 7 incorporates AI-optimized robot motion, twin-pick tooling, energy-efficient servo technology, and a modular architecture. The platform also features web-based operation, built-in Wi-Fi, and enhanced cybersecurity.
The Pack Expo appearance comes as Schubert marks 60 years in packaging automation. The company also recently commissioned a 45,000-square-foot U.S. headquarters in Charlotte, which it says will support customer service operations throughout North America.
Schubert will exhibit in booths S-3700 in the South Hall and W-222052 in the West Hall Healthcare Pavilion.
