Seattle Chocolate’s New Philanthropic Mission Tied To Launch Of Sunshine Collection

Seattle, WA — Seattle Chocolate Co. is launching its Sunshine Collection while revealing a new company-wide philanthropic mission supporting Girls Inc., a nonprofit that inspires girls across the U.S. and Canada to be their strongest, smartest, and boldest selves. Seattle Chocolate will donate 10 percent of net profits from all sales of the new collection to Girls Inc.

“Girls Inc. is grateful to have the support of Seattle Chocolate Company and their commitment to the success of girls and young women,” says Delita Marsland, chief development officer.

“Since day one, Seattle Chocolate’s mission has been to ‘brighten days through chocolate,’” says CEO and owner Jean Thompson. “As a mother and a female entrepreneur, uplifting and inspiring young girls is so important to me, and we’re thrilled to now be supporting Girls Inc. with our entire product line.”

The company worked with Amsterdam-based illustrator Bodil Jane to design the packaging, which are described as bright and cheerful.

The Sunshine Collection features:

  • You Are Sunshine 2.5-ounce truffle bars carry an SRP of $4.75. The milk chocolate bars have a meltaway center with honey nut oat cereal pieces.
  • Shine On truffle bags hold 12 ounces of individually wrapped chocolates in malted milk ball, peanut butter, Pink Bubbly, San Juan Sea Salt, milk chocolate, blackberry creme, champagne and salted almond. The bags carry an SRP of $22.
  • Sunshine Care Packages have an SRP of $40 and hold one You Are Sunshine Truffle Bar, one Shine On Truffle Bag, a white chocolate sun-shaped lollipop, a postcard and a limited edition sticker sheet.
