San Francisco — See’s Candies is partnering with Susan G. Komen for the first time on a month-long campaign supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month, including a limited-edition confection and fundraising efforts.
Throughout October, customers can make donations to Susan G. Komen at See’s shops and online, with all contributions going directly to the organization. Hundreds of See’s employees will also participate in More Than Pink Walks throughout the West during October and November. See’s is furthering efforts with a direct contribution of $25,000 to Komen and inviting its community to join in. In honor of the company’s 105th anniversary, the campaign aims to raise $105,000.
“For 105 years, See’s has had the privilege of being part of moments that bring people together, from life’s biggest milestones to simple gestures that show someone you care,” says Pat Egan, president and CEO of See’s Candies. “That’s what Bringing Joy is all about, and we’re honored to carry that forward alongside Susan G. Komen. This is a cause that touches so many, and it means a lot to Team See’s to give our customers and employees another way to join us in showing their support this October.”
As part of the campaign, See’s is introducing limited-edition Pink Bordeaux, a variation on its classic Bordeaux confection. The pieces feature the brand’s signature brown sugar buttercream centers covered in white chocolate and finished with pink sprinkles.
Pink Bordeaux pieces are packaged in co-branded See’s and Susan G. Komen Pink Ribbon Boxes. The boxes have an SRP of $20 and will be available October 1 through October 31, while supplies last.
“We are grateful for the commitment See’s Candies is making this October to support breast cancer patients and save more lives from this disease,” says Greer Horne, vice-president of corporate partnerships at Susan G. Komen. “By bringing together See’s Candies and Susan G. Komen, our brands can collectively make a meaningful impact to those in need while bringing joy to lovers of sweet treats.”
