Hollister, CA — After 38 years at Marich Confectionery Co., 26 as CEO, Brad van Dam is stepping down. As part of the leadership transition, Leonard Spelt has been named to take on the CEO position. Spelt has served on Marich’s Board of Directors since 2013 and has many years of experience in the confectionery and food & beverage industries. Troy van Dam will continue in his role as president and COO.
Under van Dam’s direction, Marich experienced dramatic growth through the development of industry-leading products, services and a positive, people- and family-friendly company culture, according to the company.
“I am thankful for all the dedicated people I have had the opportunity to work with and have made meaningful friendships with employees, customers, suppliers and peers and have had some of the greatest experiences a man can ask for,” says van Dam.
