McCormick Place — Want to see what it’s like to be an exhibitor, attendee or supplier at the Sweets & Snacks Expo? This week a video crew worked with two manufacturers, a supplier and a retailer to follow the show through their eyes.
The resulting miniseries will be used by NCA, the show organizer, to help future attendees gain greater insights into the benefits of the show and the opportunities available to each attendee group.
Representing suppliers, Billie-Ann Plastics Pkg. Corp.’s Matt Rubinstein talked about the importance of including suppliers in the Sweets & Snacks Expo community and the opportunities it gives for suppliers to collaborate real time with both manufacturers and retailers.
Stuffed Puffs’ Mike Tierney was able to express the value of the expo to helping build a brand.
Emily Gordon, with Walgreen Corp., elaborated on the value of the show to retailers, making note of the wealth of innovation on display. She also pointed out the importance of being able to participate in this year’s 5 by 5 program, offering feedback to up-and-coming exhibitors. Finally, she talked about the importance of the event in introducing her team to the industry.
Stuckey’s Corp. CEO Stephanie Stuckey and her team focused on the energy that makes the show special and the focus to make the most of the three days on the show floor.
