Senior Vice President of Public Policy

As NCA’s senior vice president of public policy, she is responsible for overseeing all federal and state legislative activities on behalf of the $35 billion confectionery industry, including the farm bill and issues related to trade, taxation, transportation, and health and wellness. In 2016 Liz worked with congressional partners to develop and launch the Congressional Candy Caucus which is a bi-partisan group of over 50 Members of Congress. At the same time, she created a robust state government affairs program for the association which includes overseeing state lobby days and advocacy activation around threats such as candy taxes, marketing restrictions, labeling challenges and much more. She also directs the CandyPAC, one of Washington DC’s biggest food association Political Action Committees which includes all fundraising and development of spending strategy. Liz is the association’s chief liaison and strategist with the administration, various federal agencies, business organizations and other associations.
