    The Sweets & Snacks Expo Announced Move To Indianapolis For 2021 Show

    With the guidance and approval of the NCA Board of Trustees, NCA announced its decision to host the 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo in-person in Indianapolis, moving from Chicago for the first time in the show’s history. The show will introduce new safety precautions and reimagine favorite events to prioritize attendee safety. Read more about who is attending and what the show is doing to keep attendees safe.

    NCA Announced Three-Part Report Series Focusing On COVID-19 Confectionery Sales

    To better equip member companies for new retail realities during the COVID-19 pandemic, NCA published a three-part insights-driven research series that explored the impact of COVID-19 on consumer behavior and seasonal and everyday confectionery sales.

  • COVID-19 Vaccines Announced

    Moderna and Pfizer announced the first viable COVID-19 vaccines in November 2020, signaling what many hoped would be the beginning of the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout 2020, NCA advocated strongly to prioritize vaccines for essential workers in critical infrastructure industries, including confectionery industry workers responsible for ensuring the continuity of our nation’s food supply. NCA sent letters to President Trump and then-President-Elect Biden after the vaccines were announced to emphasize the importance of prioritizing essential workers. By mid-March 2021, 26 states were vaccinating food manufacturing employees as part of a push to inoculate essential workers.

    2021 Digital State Of The Industry Conference: Blowing The (Virtual) Doors Off

    The State of the Industry Conference went digital in March 2021, bringing attendees together online for a streamlined version of the confectionery industry’s family reunion under a banner of “Ideas, Insights and Inspiration: Delivered.” The digital event drew yet another record attendance for NCA and featured the launch of the second annual State of Treating report, along with other insightful panel discussions and learning sessions.
