2018 NCA Future Leadership Program Now Accepting Applications

The National Confectioners Association’s Future Leadership Program is now accepting applications for the class of 2018. Five deserving young professionals (40 and under) in the confectionery industry will be provided with support, education, access and opportunity throughout the year-long accelerated leadership program. Fostering industry growth and advancement, NCA’s future leaders will engage in a formal mentorship with an esteemed member of the industry personally selected for them by the association’s Young Professionals Network committee.

Five leading global chocolate and candy companies are coming together to provide consumers with information, options, and support as they enjoy their favorite treats. The companies include Mars Wrigley Confectionery, Nestlé USA, Ferrero, Lindt, Ghirardelli, Russell Stover, and Ferrara Candy Company. By making this commitment, these organizations are redoubling their efforts to create more options in innovative packaging, and educate consumers about how unique products like chocolate and candy can play a role in a happy, balanced lifestyle.

NCA Names 2017 Future Leadership Program Class

Five young professionals have been selected for NCA’s 2017 Future Leadership Program. The 2017 class includes an emerging entrepreneur, several people who work for storied manufacturers within the industry, and a rising confectionery broker.

Two Confectionery Retail Leaders to be Honored at NCA’s 2017 State of the Industry Conference

The National Confectioners Association is pleased to announce that Christina Groth from The Kroger Company and Brian Rinker from The Walgreen Company are the recipients of the 2017 Confectionery Leadership Awards. The award celebrates the honorees’ contributions to the category through their effective business collaboration, category management best practices, and innovations in merchandising confectionery products in-store.
