Nominations Now Being Accepted for NCA Confectionery Leadership Award

Members of the National Confectioners Association are encouraged to nominate outstanding retail or wholesale customers for the 2018 Confectionery Leadership Award. The distinguished award recognizes the most innovative and passionate leaders and champions of the industry.

The Confectionery Leadership Award, hosted by NCA in collaboration with Candy & Snack TODAY (CST) magazine, showcases top customers on an industry-wide level for their effective business collaboration, category management best practices and innovations in merchandising confectionery products in-store.

2018 NCA Future Leadership Program Now Accepting Applications

The National Confectioners Association’s Future Leadership Program is now accepting applications for the class of 2018. Five deserving young professionals (40 and under) in the confectionery industry will be provided with support, education, access and opportunity throughout the year-long accelerated leadership program. Fostering industry growth and advancement, NCA’s future leaders will engage in a formal mentorship with an esteemed member of the industry personally selected for them by the association’s Young Professionals Network committee.

2018 Sweets & Snacks Expo Opens Call for Speakers

The Sweets & Snacks Expo, hosted by the National Confectioners Association, is now accepting proposals for its 2018 Sweet Insights educational slate. As the confectionery and snack industries’ signature trade event, the Sweets & Snacks Expo (May 22-24, 2018 at Chicago’s McCormick Place) is seeking thought leaders who can provide unique insights, strategies and trends to Expo attendees.

With more than 18,000 registrants and more than 800 exhibitors, the Sweets & Snacks Expo provides potential speakers with a tremendous venue to showcase their expertise.

NCA’s Sweets & Snacks Expo Continues to Break Records

The 2017 Sweets & Snacks Expo, hosted by the National Confectioners Association, set an all-time attendance record for the second consecutive year as more than 18,000 industry professionals from nearly 90 countries were welcomed to McCormick Place to experience the latest trends and innovations in the candy and snack categories. Exhibitors grew nearly 6 percent representing more than 800 candy and snack companies showcasing over 4 acres of product innovation over two halls.

As its annual trade show, the Sweets & Snacks Expo, kicks off this week in Chicago, Ill., the National Confectioners Association is proud to unveil a ground-breaking new initiative to provide consumers with information, options and support as they enjoy their favorite treats. The initiative, a commitment to transparency, portion guidance and consumer education that was announced earlier this month in cooperation with the Partnership for a Healthier America, is the focus of the industry’s premier event for manufacturers and customers that takes place May 23 through May 25 at McCormick Place. Record Number of Start-Up Entrepreneurs to Exhibit at Sweets & Snacks Expo’s Innovation Avenue

The 2017 Sweets & Snacks Expo (May 23-25, Chicago, IL), hosted by the National Confectioners Association, will welcome 20 burgeoning candy and snack companies to Innovation Avenue, areas on the show floor dedicated to start-up companies who are just launching their confectionery and snack businesses. The concept was introduced in 2011 to allow Expo attendees to view some truly unique products and ideas.
