WASHINGTON – Arthur Sevilla, head of vertical strategy at Pinterest, will headline the education program at the 2018 Sweets & Snacks Expo, taking place May 22-24, in Chicago’s McCormick Place. Sevilla will use insights from more than two billion pins to demonstrate how consumer intent signals form strategies that result in meaningful brand engagement that drive measurable sales.
From the moment of first inspiration through to purchase, the consumer products goods industry is undergoing a fundamental restructuring. Sevilla, a consumer packaged goods expert from his time at Mondelez and Kraft, will discuss the role a visual discovery platform, such as Pinterest, plays in the new consumer journey.
“We’re thrilled to have a social media giant like Pinterest present at this year’s Expo,” commented Barry Rosenbaum, Expo committee chairman and president of Nassau Candy Distributors. “With the visual appeal candy and snack products possess, Pinterest is the perfect platform for manufacturers and retailers to engage with.”
The role Pinterest plays in the modern consumer experience is one of more than 20 education sessions at the Expo designed to provide attendees with insights on driving category growth and shopper intelligence.
Registration to the 2018 Sweets & Snacks Expo is now open to retailers and brokers. The trade show attracts more than 18,000 attendees from 90 different countries. More than 850 exhibitors will display the most innovative products the confectionery, snack and specialty categories have to offer. To learn more, visit sweetsandsnacks.com.
