Aventura, FL — The Convenience Distribution Association (CDA) recognized Jack Link’s Scott Hill as its 2026 Dean of the Industry and elected S. Abraham & Sons, Inc.’s George Bennett to serve as the association’s 2027 chair.

Both announcements were made during the association’s Business Exchange (CDBX) in Aventura, FL.

The Dean of the Industry recognition honors manufacturers and other industry members who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to and support of convenience distributors. CDA says the designation recognizes excellence in industry relations, initiative, and understanding of the distribution business.

Hill is vice-president of new business development at Jack Link’s and has held several leadership positions with the company, including national sales director, vice-president of convenience, and vice-president of refrigerated sales.

He has also been active in CDA, previously serving on its board of directors. He currently serves on the association’s Manufacturer’s Advisory Council and Education & Research Committee.

“Scott has been a trusted voice in the c-store supply chain for many years,” says Jerry Nystrom of Core-Mark Iowa. “His genuine commitment to helping others succeed has made him an invaluable partner and a respected leader.”

Richard Owen, CDA president and CEO, adds: “In addition to growing Jack Link’s visibility in the marketplace, Scott is someone members can count on when they need answers, expertise, or advice. The lifelong connections he has made with customers and competitors alike show he is a true Dean of the Industry in every way.”

CDA also elected Bennett, president of S. Abraham & Sons, a division of Imperial Trading Co., to serve as chair beginning January 1, 2027.

Bennett has served on CDA’s board of directors since 2020 and joined its executive committee in 2024. He has served as treasurer and chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and continues to serve on the Government Affairs Committee.

“It’s an honor to lead CDA in the year ahead,” Bennett says. “As the industry evolves and grows, I look forward to helping the association find even more ways to advocate for members’ interests, increase educational opportunities, and provide best-in-class experiences where members can collaborate and do business.”

Before joining S. Abraham & Sons in 2010, Bennett spent 13 years with Anheuser-Busch in sales, trade marketing, and brand portfolio management. As president of S. Abraham & Sons, he oversees the distributor’s strategic direction and operations serving retailers and supplier partners throughout the Midwest.
