Inver Grove Heights, MN — Somic Packaging, Inc. will introduce a new machine platform and two digital solutions to the North American market during Pack Expo International 2026, October 18 to 21 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

The end-of-line packaging equipment manufacturer will demonstrate the new Somic 202 alongside its Somic 434 platform and Somic Eagle and Somic Connect digital services. The 202 and two digital solutions were introduced globally earlier this year at Interpack.

Designed as a space-saving platform for standard packaging applications, the Somic 202 is targeted to manufacturers looking to automate shelf-ready packaging operations. The system handles regular slotted cartons or flat blanks at speeds of up to 20 packs per minute.

The company will also demonstrate its Somic 434, which can be configured as a case packer, tray or wraparound system, or as a multifunction machine capable of producing all three carton types. The platform operates at speeds of up to 32 cycles per minute and incorporates automatic format adjustments designed to reduce changeover time and increase production uptime.

Somic Eagle and Somic Connect are designed to combine machine-sequence video with diagnostic information to help service teams troubleshoot faults and reduce downtime. Eagle uses a multi-camera system to capture time-stamped video of machine issues, while Connect shares related data, including PLC and HMI logs and error information, through a secure email server.

Somic Packaging will demonstrate the equipment and digital technologies in booth N-4740 during the show.
